Profile
DIOSA (pronounced dee-o-sa), is Spanish for Goddess and when you walk out of Diosa Hair a goddess is exactly what you should feel like. We pride ourselves on making our clients look and feel great.
Our dedicated team of stylists are committed to providing a wonderful experience from the moment a client walks in the door, to the moment they leave, feeling like a goddess, or god as the case may be.
At Diosa Hair we guarantee you will always look amazing when you walk out of the salon, but want you to look fabulous every day. Our expert stylists are excited to share their extensive knowledge of how to style your hair at home and recommend only the best products for you to maintain your fantastic cut and colour.
We carry La Biosthetique, Kerastase Paris, and Pureology. Our stylists use La Biosthetique Colours and specialize in personalized seasonal collection colouring as well as specialized men’s colouring. We are experienced with waves, permanent relaxers and straightening, and creating the perfect hair for special occasions. We are a Kerastase Salon Partner and all our stylists are trained Kerastase therapists, skilled in performing indulgent and essential rituals – a fantastic treat for the hair and overall personal wellbeing - as well as prescribing personalized home haircare.
Our Team
Kerryn Chaplin - Owner/Salon Co-ordinator/Master Stylist

Always having had a passion for making people feel their best, I began my hairdressing career in 1994, right out of high school. I completed my apprentiship and headed to the UK, where I spent 4 years ‘taking in the lifestyle’. Upon returning to NZ, I decided I needed a new challenge, so I purchased an existing busy Pukekohe Salon in 2003. Changing the name to DIOSA hair the following year really helped it feel like my own. In 2007, I stepped off the cutting floor, and I am now able to train our young stylists and manage our team more effectively.
Our Team here at DIOSA hair, is certainly an amazing one, which I am proud to be a part of, they are all consistently exceptional at what they do, and always excited to continually up skill in order to give their clients the best service.
We look forward to welcoming you in to our luxurious salon.
Arleen Bristow - Master Stylist
I have more than 18 years experience as a hairstylist, during which time I have traveled and worked with my skills and creative talent in countries such as Australia, the United Kingdom and of course New Zealand.
One of the great things about being in this industry is the on going training and inspiration I get from courses, events and shows, which keep me up to date with new styles and colour techniques.
I thrive on the challenge of creating a style that suits my clients personality as well as their lifestyle.
Carolyn Muir - Salon Co-ordinator

I started at DIOSA hair mid 2009. My background is in customer service and administration rolls.
I personally love to indulge in products and services that make you feel good about yourself and I look forward to working with our clients to make their time at DIOSA a rewarding one from the moment they arrive in reception to the moment they leave looking and feeling great about themselves.
Keri Rowe - Master Stylist
I've been hairdressing for 15 years+, in New Zealand, the UK and Australia. I have traveled the globe with my craft and enjoyed every minute of it. I have attended extensive L'Oreal courses, trained with Toni & Guy in the UK, and been an entrant in the prestigious L'Oreal Colour Trophy. I have been involved in apprentice training and dabbled in photography and hair for stage production too.
I have recently returned to the industry, after taking some time out to be a full time mum to my two beautiful boys, but now its time to immerse myself into one of my passions again, hair and fashion.
It is a great skill to be able to cut and colour a head of hair, but to be a great stylist is being able to interpret this so your client can recreate it time and time again.
Debbie Cable - Master Stylist
I started at DIOSAhair in 2009, but I have been involved with hairdressing for over 20yrs the majority of that time has been in the Franklin District.
I love my Career. I thoroughly enjoy transforming clients looks and making them feel fantastic about themselves. It is amazing what you can do with colour. Colour work would have to be my favorite part of being a hairstylist.
Kelly Hopkins - Senior Stylist

I became a hairstylist because I wanted to be a part of an industry that is exciting, creative and inventive, working at DIOSA hair has given me the opportunity to do that.
I have attained many hairdressing skills and have been able to use them to make our clients feel and look their best. 2011 marked my first time entering the L’Oreal Colour Trophy Awards and with the support of my colleagues I’m hoping to enter more competitions in the future.
Helen Muir - Master Stylist

I started with the team at DIOSAhair August 2009. Originally I trained with Rodney Wayne but have worked in the Pukekohe area for more than 10 years. It is important to me to keep up with fashion and I love updating my skills. I have attended many training courses and seminars, including several L'Oreal colour courses and Toni and Guy for cutting, also I have been to Hair Expo in Australia which is excellent for inspiration.
My favourite part of being a hairstylist is the amazing things you can do with colour. I love being able to bring the best out in people and make them feel fantastic!
